Sturdy, comfy, and US made!
I was so happy to have found a U.S. made product for improving my meditation experience and I’m very happy with this zabuton. (My zafu is on the way!) I was a bit worried by some of the negative reviews here but I can’t relate to the issues mentioned. Mine came dry, clean, free of any odor, and indeed the right size for the sleeve.As for the details, the first thing I noticed was the weight and sturdiness of the mat. It feels heavy and solid in ways that I didn’t expect, so hopefully it’ll hold up over time.I also had a look inside at the cotton. It’s quite interesting as I’ve never seen cotton quite so… rustic before. Makes me feel a bit more “down to earth” when I sit on it, man.As for the size, I purchased the large size and I’m 6’3 and I’m happy to say that it feels just about right. When I sit in a Burmese posture my knees hang over the side just about an inch on each side, so it’s definitely a “snug” fit, but they’re definitely a few inches off the floor and so the mat is definitely effective.It’s also very comfy and my foot didn’t fall asleep in the Burmese posture either, which was the main reason I wanted a zabuton, so that’s excellent news!The only thing I envision having to worry about is my dogs trying to steal it in case I forget to put it away…

This cushion is well made. it’s very comfortable. the cover comes off easily for washing. I think it’s a great product, and recommend it highly.I do have one caveat for taller people considering this cushion — make sure to sit as you usually do and figure out if this 24″ cushion is wide enough to work for you. I am 6′ tall, and didn’t think to measure how much room I take up when I am sitting before ordering. I sit in Burmese, and I would have done better getting a zabuton that is rectangular rather than square. As it is, my knees are barely able to fit onto the cushion in Burmese. So if I had this to do over again, I would have gotten the Hugger Mugger Zabuton that’s a rectangular shape, so I’d not have to worry about it. As it is, I’ll use it as incentive to work my way into sitting in half-lotus more often, and again, this issue is no knock on the zabuton itself, which is great.

GOOD QUALITY — ATTENTION TO DETAIL
I ordered this product to be used for meditation. The item is exactly as advertised: 2” thick and 24” X 24”. The color of the cover is as pictured. I just opened the package and put the cover on, so I can’t speak to its longevity, but it appears to be well made; all seams are well-sewn. We’ll have to see how well it stands up to frequent use, but I imagine it will, based on the quality I see in the product.Be cautioned: even though the cushion measures out to the advertised dimensions, it is small. It appears to be adequate for my space and needs, but this is probably best for a small person, or as a travel zabuton. I do wish it were thicker, but, as I said, it seems adequate for my needs. I rated it a 4 for that reason.Shipping was prompt and uneventful; item arrived in great shape, folded, packaged in plastic, with a nice note from the company included. Knowing what this product is, I would recommend it to a friend with the caution that it is of smaller size. I would buy it again, if I needed one this size.Thanks, Bean!

Awesome Sauce!
AWESOME!!! I’m a big chick-6ft and um…thick. Sitting on the floor for meditation was painful. This is thick/dense enough that my thick ass doesn’t smoosh it flat. Gives good cushion for getting down and back up and cushion while on the floor. I was nervous that I would be too hefty for it and it would just flatten, but it didn’t. Feels kinda like a thinner version of a futon mattress. Dense but comfy. Works great. Good quality outer material as well. Not going to snag or rip any time soon.

I have had several over time and I was careful to read about this zabuton product and read the reviews. Fast delivery and I thought it was an exceptional quality product. I purchased the large version and it was thick and comfortable along with being very well made. The cover was also of a heavy weight material that should last a long time. Very pleased so far with this item and the quick shipment!

Not at all like picture, bad closure, many other issues.
I bought this because of the materials, the picture and what the page says about the care they take. The product looks NOTHING like the picture! The outer and inner covers are both way bigger than the stuffing, so it does not fill out the cover including the corners. They should put more stuffing in or make covers smaller, or use a picture that really looks like what you get. It doesn’t have a zipper closure, which might have been OK except the oopening is far too close to the end with a miniscule overlap, plus the normal type of pillow overlap is reversed, so it opens a lot anytime the pillow is moved, and aside from looking bad the inner cover will likely get dirt from the floor. Materials tag on inner cover has nothing checked – if it’s made from cotton that’s supposed to be checked. There is a tag on the outside, which makes the product look less classy, and because of the problems noted it is already very cheap looking. at least the tag could be inside. This is too expensive an item to have such an incorrect picture and poor production. I’m keeping it only because I like the materials, but I’ll be resewing the outer cover so it fits correctly over the stuffing, and putting some kind of closures on the opening. Aside from the poor manufacturing, Fedex left the box outside the apartment building, but the front door of the building is always unlocked so they could have left it in the foyer, plus everything else I’ve ever gotten from Amazon or the postal service is delivered to my door, so maybe they should use another company to ship.

Well made and the right amount of cushion for me
Most zabutons aren’t particularly thick or cushy. This one is maybe slightly thicker than what I usually see, but not by much, and the material is dense enough that I don’t bounce around or lose balance. Seems like a quality cushion, if a bit pricey.
